Start Programme

Start is a free, online careers platform, designed to connect 11-18 year olds with their future career potential.

Employer partners help to deliver insightful, employer-led content. Start work with a range of organisations that are backing this innovative approach to careers education.

A key part of choosing what to study in school and college is understanding the range of career opportunities available. From Year 7 to Year 9, Start will help pupils understand the importance of GCSE subjects and the role of key skills that employers are looking for.

By Year 10, the programme will have helped pupils choose the options that are best suited to their ambitions, as well as focusing on next steps at post-16. For more information on how the Start programme is used between Year 7 and Year 11, please click here.
