Friday 6 December 2019

Just 2 weeks left of the term and as always there has been lots going on.

PSHCE Forum

On Wednesday, Mr Russell worked with representatives from each form in the PHSCE Forum – looking at what they enjoy and what they want to learn more about. These lessons are an opportunity to learn more about the world and how we can stay safe and how we can make a positive difference to our community.

Boccia

Our Boccia team played in the Vale Royal Competition this week – not first place but they all brought home those medals. Well done to all involved.

End of Term Assessments and Year 11 Mock Exams

Exams are pretty much over.  Well done to all learners for their mature attitude during this period. There are still practical exams taking place over the course of next week so please make sure you have all necessary equipment in school each day #scholarship

Awards Evening

On Thursday we welcomed Tom Heaton, Aston Villa FC and England Goalkeeper as our keynote speaker at our annual awards evening. Guests included representatives from Warrington and Vale Royal College, Cheshire College South and West, Sir John Dean College, Reaseheath College, Rudheath and Witton Together, the Mayor, Queensberry AP and North West Academies Trust.
It was just joyful to see our learners collect their well deserved awards for #resilience, #scholarship and #ambition across all subjects.

Special awards went to ex Head Girl, Niamh Mahon, Amelia Tharme, Mia Tonkin and Abbie Lewis. Particular congratulations too to those learners who were awarded several prizes indicating their commitment to being their very best.

A huge thank you to all the parents and families who attended and who support not only their children but the academy as we drive for the very best.

Dance Show Next Week

There will be a dance show taking place next Thursday evening from 6pm. Tickets are on sale via the academy.
The show is being organised by our year 11 dancers as part of their BTEC qualification. Please support them in making this a really successful evening #scholarship #ambition
