End of Year Arrangements

 05/07/19

Dear Parent / Carer

With just 2 weeks left until the summer break, I would like to say an enormous “thank you” to you all for your support this academic year and particularly over the course of the last term in my new role as Headteacher.  It has certainly been an eventful few months and without your support, the hard work of my colleagues and our wonderful children we would not have been able to put into place so many positive changes.

End of Term Arrangements

This academic year will end on Friday 19 July 2019 at 12.30pm.  Dining facilities on this day will not be available for learners at lunchtime, however, we will be offering a range of cooked breakfast items during an extended break-time.  If you require your child to stay until 3:10pm, please contact the academy and we will make arrangements for them to be supervised until this time.

Changes to the School Day from September

There will be slight increase to the length of the academy day as of September.  There will also be a later, longer lunch to allow all our learners to take part in extracurricular activities.

The changes to the school day ensure that all learners have time with form tutors at the beginning and end of each school day to support them in preparing for the school day and so that they touch base with their form teacher before home time and any issues during the day may be dealt with quickly.

The new school day is as follows:

8:45 – 9:05am       Registration

School Comunication

It is my aim to make the majority of school/home communication electronic to save resources and be more sustainable.  In September we will be sending out data update forms so please would you ensure that your email address is on the school system so that you do not miss any key communications.  I would also urge you to follow the school on social media, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to get the latest news @RudheathSenior and the weekly Headteacher’s Newsletter.

Yours sincerely
