Christmas at Rudheath Senior Academy

As 2018 draws to a close we have had a busy December reflecting and celebrating as a community.  Christmas can be a time of joy and challenge so we have taken time to remember others and have had a real drive to raise money for local causes.  We kicked off with the annual Santa Dash, with staff and students ‘dashing’ around Griffiths Park walk or run, it was all for a good cause.  On 14 December our annual Bazaar opened to our community, welcoming them in for crafts, food and games.  Then on 19 December we all walked to St Helen’s Church, Witton and were treated to drama, dance and readings from staff and students- a great opportunity for the whole academy to come together in one place and celebrate.  The walk whet their appetite for Christmas lunch, served with festive tunes, crackers and pudding.

We have raised over £1,000 during this festive season and as ever, we are grateful to our students, parents, local businesses and wider community and look forward to our return on 7 January for another year of success..
