Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to Rudheath Senior Academy

I am delighted and privileged to be Headteacher at Rudheath Senior Academy.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you as a parent interested in sending your child to Rudheath Senior. We are confident that children will find the years spent with us invaluable, successful and happy. Education is a partnership between learners, parents, teachers and other adults within the school, which produces positive results when we work together.

We are clear at Rudheath Senior about our priorities. Firstly, students should be safe and happy. Secondly, the school should offer a wide range of learning activities and opportunities in and out of the classroom. Thirdly, all students are encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential whatever their abilities. Only if the first two are promoted can this third and most important aim be fully realised.

We have a close partnership with our sister schools in the North West Academies Trust, with Steve Docking as the CEO. This partnership has a positive impact on all aspects of school life at Rudheath Senior and I believe it will accelerate every aspect of our school improvement.

As part of the North West Academies Trust, we believe that all children deserve a choice of outstanding educational provision. The Trust is focused on raising standards, narrowing the gap and ensuring that all children at our schools have the opportunity to achieve their full potential.  Opening children’s eyes to the wonderful of possibility.

Whilst academic achievements are an important part of life at Rudheath Senior, learners enjoy a diverse range of additional opportunities. A hugely popular extracurricular sport programme, music and drama, complement a wide range of trips and visits. Opportunities for student leadership emphasise the value of taking part as a member of the school community. We make no apology for placing a high priority on excellent behaviour, attendance and the highest possible standards as an expected norm. We care about our learners’ development and achievements and endeavour to provide first class support and further opportunities for our learners to thrive.

The aims of the school are based around the values we want our learners to develop, rather than solely around the qualifications to be achieved by individuals. The most important being to:

Be RESILIENT – learn from their mistakes and keep trying when it’s tough

Develop SCHOLARSHIP – engage fully in their learning

Be AMBITIOUS – be prepared to aim high and achieve their potential

Please take time to find out more about our wonderful school and if you would like to know more do contact us.
